The grant is only enjoyable for the first year of the student’s undergraduate program.

However, this grant is given automatic consideration upon an applicant application for admission into any course of choice in the institution. This means that an individual does not have to apply separately for this scholarship grant after applying for admission to study at the University of British Columbia.

There is no limited number of awardees, therefore many applicants who certify the necessary criteria will stand a chance of winning this grant.

Scholarship value

The sponsors of this grant shall take care of the successful applicant’s tuition fee for the first year of study at the institution without more. It is a one time scholarship to support academic excellence and encourage better performance and healthy competition among students.  

Who can apply?

Any undergraduate student willing to take up an undergraduate course at University of British Columbia (UBC) is eligible to apply for the grant. However, all applicants must be such recognized as an international student at the institution.

Application eligibility

• Firstly, applicants must be secondary school graduates entering into the institution as freshmen.
• Secondly, such an applicant can be an international student whom has been grant student permit to study in Canada.
• Thirdly, should be willing to take up an undergraduate course at the institution upon being offered admission.
• Also, must be individual that has proven quality in extra curriculum activities and high academic achievements at the high school.
•  Most importantly, should have applied for admission into course of choice by 15^th January, 2021.
