The Korean cultural centers in different countries of the world is delighted to invite qualified individuals from different parts of the world for the 2021 Global Korea Scholarship program for international students. The 2021 Global Korea Scholarship program gives students leverage to advance in different areas of studies both as an undergraduate and graduate student. It is a way of promoting people’s culture among others and a developed means to enhance more enriched friendly relationship between government of Korea and other nations of the world.
However, this grant is under the sponsorship of the Korean Government. It is open for individual to undertake four years course in any selected Korean university. It is mandatory that awardees will undergo one year training in Korea language as part of the scholarship scheme.
Eligibility criteria for Global Korean scholarship program
Global Korean scholarship program is open for international students who have the Korean embassy in their country. Some of the requirements for application for 2021 Global Korean scholarship are below:
- Firstly, applicants for Global Korean scholarship must be an international student.
- Secondly, apply for either undergraduate or graduate program of not more than four years.
- Thirdly, applicants must select courses generally available at the Korean graduate school for graduate applicants.
- Also, students on transfer to Korean university are not eligible to apply.
- Equally, parents of the aspirants must have citizenship of country of origin of aspirant.
- Citizens of Korea are not eligible to apply.
- All aspirants must show prove of mental stability, sound health to adapt to the weather condition of the study country.
- Every undergraduate applicant must not be above 25 years and 40years for graduate’s applicants as at the time of sending this application.
- Applicants must have completed undergraduate or high school program to apply for the grant.
- Importantly, must have at least 80% of the total CGPA from any other recently concluded course.
Scholarship benefits
This is fully funded scholarship covering the awardees tuition fee, accommodation expenses, travel expenses, medical expenses, support during research project, graduation stipend and others.
