Microsoft Company has opportunities you will gain from as a student. Microsoft scholarship program for students at different levels of studies is here to put smiles on faces. The scholarship is open to individuals in computer science, sciences and technology, mathematics, Engineering and other relative fields.

However, this scholarship is for tuition and conferences. It aims at encouraging individual to further their educational career and learning in the relative field. This is achievable through sponsorship of Microsoft in areas of conferences and payment of tuition fees.

Generally, this is a means of encouraging the less privileged individuals to study in places like Canada, Mexico and United States. It equally, encourages the development of STEM related field of study for students who has interest in them. It also encourages individuals to diversify their studies in Areas of STEM as means of developing the nations of the world.

Categories of Microsoft Scholarships.

This scholarship program has two categories for individuals to benefit from. Aspirants with interest in the following scholarship can apply for any one. They include:

Tuition fee scholarship
Diversity conference scholarship

Tuition fee scholarship: This is an avenue to help underrepresented individuals. This helps in payment of tuition fee of the successful individual at their institution. The institutions will have to be in Canada, Mexico or United states. The individual must also be in STEM relative fields.

Tuition fee scholarship eligibility

In summary, to apply for this grant individual have to certify certain criteria below:

Firstly, Should be enrolled as a full time undergraduate degree student in any four years STEM related courses. This shall be in Canada, Mexico or United States institution.
Secondly, must show records of academic excellence. The grant is a merit base, so awardees must maintain minimum of 3.0 CGPA out of 4.0 or its equivalent.
Thirdly, must show undisputed interest in an undergraduate course of computer science, Engineering or relative STEM fields.

2. Microsoft Diversity conference scholarship

As means of helping improve STEM related courses, Microsoft has made available this scholarship. This aims at sponsoring individual who have certified the criteria in any of the following conferences.

Firstly, Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing
Secondly, National Society of Black Engineers Conference
Thirdly, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers Conference
Also,Tapia Conference

The sponsorship covers stipends for travels, hotel accommodation and meals at sum of $1,200 only. It cannot be transferred to another individual who is not a recipient.

Microsoft Diversity conference scholarship eligibility.

It is important to know that to be eligible for the grant, individual should be currently enrolled in any relative field as either undergraduate or postgraduate degree student. High school seniors whom has accepted four years admission offer is not eligible for any of the grant.

The eligibility criteria are as follows:

All aspirants should be enrolled in four years full time undergraduate, masters or PhD program at any college or university located in Canada, Mexico or United States.
Aspirant should be in relative STEM field like computer science, Engineering and others

Host institution: Microsoft

Host University: any university in Canada, Mexico and United States.
