UAB international students’ scholarships

The University of Alabama at Birmingham is offering the best opportunity for all international students, through their scholarships for international students. The UAB international students’ scholarships aim to support individual with high scholarly potential to undertake undergraduate courses at the campus. This will help subsidize the educational cost of the qualified individuals.

However, it is important to state that this grant is available for first year students, currently applying for admission at the campus. The grant is on merit and awarded on first come first served fulfillment. Furthermore, a student does not need to apply for the UAB international students’ scholarship separately as they are considered upon offer of admission into any faculty of choice at the institution.

The most interesting aspect of the grant is that students who qualify for the grant can equally be given additional scholarship at the campus. UAB additional scholarship could be one of the following scholarship grants:

The IB Scholarships,
Students’ departmental scholarships,
High performance scholarships and others to be made available at the campus upon admission.

Under the additional scholarships offers, students must submit an application to the Blazer Scholarship Management and Resource Tool (BSMART).

Moreover, submitting such application of general nature may not be all required to maximize additional scholarship grant. Some additional scholarship at the campus will require submission of another separate application and other specific documents for their consideration. Applicants are advised to be at alert for application for additional scholarships as application will open on 1^st of October, 2020.

Aside the additional scholarships grant, UAB international students’ scholarships awards individual full time study scholarship at sum of $7,500 per year for the during of the student's study. Any other additional scholarship granted to you is an advantage to take care of other necessary expenses.

UAB international students’ scholarships eligibility criteria

Firstly, student must be applying for admission as a freshman or first year student of the institution.
Secondly, applicants must be such assessed as an international student.
Thirdly, must be a graduate of any recognized secondary or high school of not less than two years before intake into the campus.
Also, aspirants must have at least CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 from secondary or high school.
Equally, as at the time of application should not have enrolled in any post secondary work activities.
Aspirants will have F-1 Visa as at the time of application.
International students under any government related scholarships or any other external scholarships grant are ineligible for the grant.

UAB international students’ scholarships benefits

Selected applicants will receive from the institution the sum of $7,500 per year. This sum is renewable yearly if the applicant maintains the minimum requirement stipulated by the institution. The successful applicant will enjoy it all through the study period at the campus as an undergraduate student of the institution.
